Layyah bank staffer injured in acid attack

A man received serious burn injuries when acid was thrown at him in Layyah on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Forty percent body of the private bank staffer was burnt when acid was poured at him at Chowk Azam, Layyah.

According to reports, as soon as Waseem reached his home from the bank, a man who was already present there threw acid at him and fled from the spot.

Waseem was initially shifted to THQ hospital, Chowk Azam, but since his condition was deteriorating he was later taken to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.

Police suspected that victim’s wife Asma might have a role in the crime.

However, it said that investigation was underway, and hopefully the culprits would be arrested.
