The chief ministers of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have won the hearts of their public by announcing that in order to lessen the burden of rising petrol expenses on the exchequer, they will cut down the petrol quota of their ministers and government officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took a big step to share the burden of his masses when he announced that he was reducing the petrol quota of provincial government ministers and officers by 40% in a bid to put less burden on the provincial kitty keeping in view the rising petrol prices.

“We do not want to put an extra burden of rising petrol prices on the kitty. The burden on the provincial kitty means, the burden on people,” CM Shah added.

Following the suit of his Sindh counterpart, KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also took the splendid decision of slashing the government petrol quota asking the provincial government institutions to reduce their use of petrol by 35%.
