Coronavirus SOPs were blatantly violated in the National Assembly during polling for the Senate elections on Wednesday as most members, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, were present in the Assembly Hall not wearing masks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Other notable figures who did not wear masks included Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhary.

The TV footage showed that legislators were interacting with each other without adhering to the corona guidelines.

Some lawmakers who entered the parliament building wearing facemasks found barefaced when it came to voting.
