Kartarpur corridor continues to play a role of bringing the ‘lost’ loved ones together. In a latest episode, sister-in-laws of separated Hindu family across the border met each other after 51 years at Kartarpur Corridor and made emotional scenes.

Both ladies hugged each other and could not control their emotions, as they shed tears, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Both families were separated in 1971.

As per Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur’s management, 291 pilgrims made their way through the platform of the corridor Thursday.

Earlier in Feb this year, the family separated by the India-Pakistan partition in 1947 had an emotional reunion at Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan. The members of the Christian Mithu family finally reunited in Pakistan after seven decades.

Shahid Rafiq Mithu, a resident of Mananwala in Nankana district of Pakistan, reached Kartarpur with 40 members of his family to meet the family members of Sono Mithu, who lives in Shahpur Dogran, a village in Amritsar district in Indian Punjab, at the Gurdwara.
