Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has lashed out at the PTI for giving call for protest on Chand Raat saying never in country’s 74-year-old history, protests have been held on the eve of Eid, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a presser in Faisalabad on Tuesday, Mr Sanaullah ruled out any conspiracy against previous regime saying that the PTI government was ousted from power due to its own bad deeds and its own allies were annoyed by it.

He criticized the PTI chief for giving protest call on the joyous night of Chand Raat saying no more than hundred people came out on the streets on the protest call.

He said that nation was hit by the worst inflation. “Some people were misled by Imran Khan and staged a protest in Medina”, he added.

He appealed to the PTI leaders to condemn the incident of desecration of Masjid-e-Nabvi.

Regarding NAB cases against Farah Khan Gogi, Mr Sanaullah said that a transparent inquiry would be launched into the assets of former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s friend on her return from abroad.

No press conference will be held against Farah. Only a transparent inquiry will be launched in her assets,” he added.

Former premier Imran Khan in his presser a couple of days ago defended Farah saying she was being targeted because she was his wife’s friend.

On cablegate, the interior minister rubbished the PTI Chief Imran Khan’s narrative saying let them make these false narratives against America.

The interior minister stated that next elections would be held after 12 or 14 months. He predicted that the PML-N would clean sweep in Punjab in the next polls. He deplored that the previous government halted work on the development schemes. He vowed to serve people in a better way after getting new mandate.

He also announced that the PML-N would hold a public rally in Attock on May 6 and after that two public gatherings would be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 7 and May 11. On May 15, a public rally would be held in Gujrat and on May 23, a public gathering would be held in Okara.

He rued that nobody condemned when an assault was made against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
