The National Command and Control Center (NCOC) Wednesday issued a new civil aviation policy on domestic flights.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, following the new policy, domestic flights will be able to operate at full capacity from November 10, 2021

The NCOC termed the vaccination mandatory for travellers coming to Pakistan from November 5, 2021, and negative PCR test reports would also be mandatory for passengers from age six years and above.

The NCOC maintained the restrictions on the entry of passengers from Category-C countries including Armenia, Mongolia, Iraq, Mexico, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Trinidad and Tobago to Pakistan.

Travel from Category C countries is also declared by the NCOC subject to permission from it. While Russia, Germany, Iran, Philippines, Ethiopia, Afghanistan were included in the high-risk category.

The NCOC decided that those arriving by road from Afghanistan would have to quarantine themselves 72 hours after the PCR test.

Countries other than Category C and High Risk are included in Category B and would not have travel restrictions. The NCOC also abolished rapid tests for those coming from countries other than the Category-C countries.

The NCOC has also termed the vaccination mandatory for travellers coming to Pakistan from November 5 and in positive cases, the passenger will be quarantined for ten days.

On the eighth day of the quarantine, if the test is negative, the passenger will be allowed to go home, the NCOC decided.

On the other hand, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sources said that the incoming air traffic in the country would be fully operational from November 10.

Sources said that full restoration of air traffic and the increasing number of flights would help out to reduce fares of air travel.

The sources said that the air travel was expensive due to the lack of flights from the NCOC and the strictures on Corona SOPs.
