Asim Bajwa vows to bring excellence to Pakistan’s higher education

China Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority (CPECA) Chairman and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media and Broadcasting Asim Saleem Bajwa on Saturday said recently inaugurated Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute is a revolutionary development for postgraduates in applied sciences, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a tweet, Asim Bajwa said that Prime Minister Imran Khan vowed to bring excellence to Pakistan’s higher education that is linked to universities and industry across the globe.

The SAPM also announced that more such ventures are on the card.

Asim Saleem Bajwa shared an article of the former chairman of the HEC, and president of the Network of Academies of Science of OIC Countries (NASIC) Atta-Ur-Rahman in which he lauded September 17 inauguration of a beautiful campus of Pakistan’s first foreign engineering university, the Pak-Austria Fachhochschule, in Haripur Hazara, about 40 miles from Islamabad.

Counting the features of the institutions, Dr Atta-Ur-Rehman said the courses that will be offered by FH Johanneum (Graz, Austria) will be in the fields of electrical/computer engineering, biomedical science and information design. 

“MCI Innsbruck Austria will offer courses in environmental engineering while Johannes Keppler University in Linz, Austria will offer postgraduate M. Phil and PhD level training in artificial intelligence,” he said.
