The privilege committee of the parliament on Monday issued summons to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his confidante, former interior minister Sheikh Rashid in the case of storming of Parliament Lodges by Islamabad Police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The committee also summoned former SSP security Khurram Rasheed.

Police stormed the Parliament Lodges prior to voting on the no-trust motion against the then prime minister Imran Khan in April 2022 when it came to its notice that activists of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) had intruded into the lodges without the concerned authorities’ permission.
