The Butterfly House in Jallo Park Lahore has been restored by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) after three years on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Butterfly House which is locally known as ‘Jallo Titli Ghar’ was closed in 2019 due to some financial and administrative crisis.
Initially, the engineering wing of the PHA had an estimated Rs8 million for the restoration of the butterfly house but now the wing has made operation without spending a penny.
According to the sources, the Jallo Titli Ghar was closed in 2019 due to corruption complaints and mismanagement.
PHA Director General Zeeshan Javed said the unique and beautiful butterfly house containing hundreds of butterflies is a gift to the citizens especially the children of Lahore.
He expressed a hope that the PHA will also manage the best breeding of the butterflies at the part.
