Prices of lentils raised in Lahore

The prices of lentils have been raised by Rs5 to 30 in Lahore with apparent no check on the practice as the shopkeepers took the decision on their own, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Daal Channa was now selling for Rs150 per kg after an increase of Rs15 in its price. The rate of Daal Masoor was also raised by Rs15 per kg and it was not being sold at Rs200.

Daal Mash also jumped up by Rs15 per kg and was now available for Rs255 whereas Daal Moong was now being sold at Rs140 per kg after an increase of Rs15.

Kaalay Channay (black grams) are now available for Rs145 per kg after its price went up by Rs15 while Safaid Channay (white grams) got a raise of Rs10 in its price and are now being sold at Rs160 per kg.

The rate of baison was also raised by Rs15 to Rs150 per kg.
