The National University of Modern Language (Numl) admin has written a letter to the federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to dig into the matter of Bhai-ban notification, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Friday.

A fake notification refraining university girls from calling Bhai while addressing boys at the campus went viral, prompting a varsity spokesperson to issue a clarification. “The university administration has nothing to do with this notification,” the spokesperson said. 

A Facebook page is the source of the spread of misinformation and legal action is on the cards against it 

In the letter to the FIA, the university admin made a request to the agency's cybercrime wing for bringing to book the culprit. Similar notifications from some other universities including Islamia University Bahawalpur also went viral.
