A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK832 from Jeddah to Karachi was delayed for hours after its landing tyres burst, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A PIA spokesman confirmed that after having its tyre changed in Karachi the plane left for Jeddah and will bring back the stranded passengers.
The flight will now depart from Jeddah to Karachi at 4 pm.
PIA Board meeting on May 5
The PIA Board of Directors was set to hold an important meeting on May 5.
According to sources, the meeting will be held at 12 noon at Karachi Head Office.
The financial accounts up to December 2022 will be approved in the meeting.
The PIA's new business plan will also be examined.
Furthermore, a briefing on the overall situation, including the Hajj flight operation 2023 will also be held.
The approval will be given to hold the annual general meeting of the PIA on May 30.
It is pertinent to mention that the Annual General Meeting of PIA was postponed due to the non-completion of the audit of the year 2022 over the request of administration.
