Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has inaugurated the first phase of the laptop scheme for the students of Punjab and other provinces, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Punjab government relaunched laptop scheme after eight years as CM Maryam Nawaz offering 13th Generation Core i7 to students under Honahar Scholarship Phase II scheme. CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurated laptop distribution scheme at Lahore's historic University of Engineering and Technology.
ON CM Directives, laptops will be provided to 13 government universities, 6 medical colleges and 27 higher educational institutions.
Punjab government has also opened laptop scheme e-portal for the students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
After Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa students will get the highest number of laptops as 3136 students will get laptops. 938 students from Balochistan, 517 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 410 students from Gilgit Baltistan will also get laptops. Punjab government has decided to provide laptop to 5,000 students.
