Wall chalking in support of the Pakistan Army has reportedly appeared in the Indian Punjab's cantonment areas, allegedly orchestrated by the US-based Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) foundation, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Wednesday.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a leading figure of the Khalistan movement and head of SFJ, made headlines once again by declaring that the Sikh people of Indian Punjab will fight alongside the Pakistan Army in the event of a war against India.
According to media reports and videos circulating on social platforms, pro-Pakistan slogans like “Sikhs will not fight Pakistan” were painted across various sensitive military zones in Indian Punjab.
Addressing his followers in a video message, Pannun stated that if war breaks out between India and Pakistan, Sikh communities in Indian Punjab will set up langars (community kitchens) to support the Pakistan Army.
He went further to claim that any Indian aggression on Pakistan would be Modi's and India’s last war, predicting the liberation of East Punjab from Indian rule.
He reiterated his call for a separate Sikh homeland, stating, “Indian Punjab will become independent, and a new country will be born.” He urged the government of Pakistan to bring the Khalistan Referendum movement to the United Nations platform.
“Indian Punjab will stand with Pakistan as its backbone,” Pannun declared, adding, “Pakistan must put forward the Khalistan Referendum in the UN.”
Calling for resistance, he said the Sikh population will confront the Indian army and stand united with Pakistan’s forces.
