The prices of gold increased in the local market on Thursday, with 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs4,400 to settle at Rs483,962 compared to Rs479,562 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs-3,772 to Rs414,919 from Rs411,147, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs3,458 to Rs380,356 against Rs376,898.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $44 to $4,616 per ounce from $4,572.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs55 to Rs7,821 from Rs7,766, while the price of 10 grams of silver also rose by Rs47 to Rs6,705 from Rs6,658.
The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.55 to $73.37 per ounce from $72.82.
