An accused involved in the murder of four people, including his wife and two daughters, and father-in-law, was shot dead during a police encounter in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to the details, the accused, after killing four people called on Police Helpline 15, saying that someone had killed his wife and children, and now he was going to kill them.
Soon after receiving the call, a team of Heer police rushed to the site located in the Raja Jhula area.
After taking notice of the police team, the accused and his accomplices started firing on the police team.
The police team also opened the fire in retaliation and started chasing the accused.
As the firing was stopped, police found the dead body of the accused Imran alias Mani.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Police Capt. ® Qazi Ali Raza said that all the accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene.
He said that a search operation is underway to apprehend the accused accomplices. The SP said that the operation against criminals will continue.
Later, the police shifted the dead body of the accused to the hospital’s mortuary.
