A husband killed his wife by slitting her throat for not bringing enough dowry in Abbottabad, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, after killing his wife, the accused Saqib managed to escape from crime scene.
A case has been registered against accused Saqib on the request of the father of 28-year-old Sama Ruqaya.
The body has been shifted to Ayub Medical Complex for post-mortem.
The woman was murdered by slitting her throat with a sharp instrument.
The victim's father took the stand in the application that 8 years ago my daughter got married to Saqib, and during that time, the accused used to torture my daughter.
The daughter kept saying that her husband tortures her over a dowry dispute.
The police have registered a case against accused Saqib under Section 302 and have started raids to arrest him.
