The 8th grade board examinations will be held in government schools across Punjab after four years and the supervisory staff will get Rs4,000 per day for the first time in history, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to report, more than 2.5 million children will take the board exam.
The 8th grade board exam will be held from March 5, 2026 and annual board exam schedule has also been prepared.
Eighth grade exams will be conducted across Punjab under the same pattern.
Students studying in private schools will also be able to take the board exam.
It will be mandatory for the student to register with Punjab Education, Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) to appear for the exam.
The schedule for the annual board exams has also been prepared.
PECTAA has also started the process of training teachers for the preparation of the exams.
