Rain, snow, and dense fog expected in several parts of country

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for tonight and Wednesday, warning of cold and cloudy weather across most parts of Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

According to predictions, heavy winds, rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall are expected in mountainous regions, while dense fog may affect northeastern and southern Punjab districts.

Most areas will remain cold and cloudy tonight, with Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, and the Potohar region likely to experience heavy winds, rain, thunderstorms, and mountain snowfall.

Dense fog is expected in the northern, eastern, and southern Punjab districts.

On Wednesday, Islamabad is expected to remain cold and cloudy with intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

 In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chitral, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Batgram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bunir, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Sawabi, Bannu, Karak, and Kohat may see rain, thunderstorms, and hill snowfall.

Most districts of Punjab will remain cold and cloudy, with rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Gujrat, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Faisalabad, and Layyah.

Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas may see rain or snowfall, while Jhang, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Kasur, Khanewal, and Bahawalpur may experience light rain and fog in the morning and night.

In Balochistan, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Zhob, Kalat, Barkhan, and Musa Khel may experience rain, thunderstorms, and mountain snowfall, while other areas will remain cold with partly cloudy skies.

Most districts of Sindh are expected to remain cold and partly cloudy, with morning rain and thunderstorms possible in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, and coastal areas, and fog likely in Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Mohenjo-Daro during morning and night.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to see intermittent rain and snowfall in mountainous areas.

Residents are advised to travel cautiously, avoid unnecessary journeys in fog, and stay updated with local weather advisories.

Certain regions may experience heavy winds, rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the mountains.

Dense fog is also expected in some northeastern and southern districts of Punjab.
