The Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Sports Journalists Association (Risja) held its elections on Monday, electing senior journalist Mohsin Ali as its president.
Naveed Khokhar and Kiran Khan were elected as vice presidents, while Faisal Sahi became the general secretary.
Arif Khan secured the position of finance secretary and Rana Tanveer Hussain was appointed as the information secretary of Risja.
The chairman of Risja, Ayaz Akbar, congratulated the newly elected body and expressed his hope that they would work for the welfare and development of sports journalism in the region.
Risja patriarch Abbas Shabbir also extended his good wishes to the new cabinet and praised their professionalism and dedication.
