Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s relationship is reportedly accelerating fast, with sources claiming the couple are already discussing taking the ultimate next step toward marriage.
According to a US Weekly insider, the Oscar-nominated actor and the billionaire beauty mogul are now “very serious” and have openly talked about getting engaged this year. The source suggests the shift feels less like a possibility and more like an expectation, adding that Jenner has already started referring to Chalamet as her “husband” in private.
The dynamic between the two is said to be deeply complementary. As one insider put it, “Kylie definitely runs the show, and Timothée loves it.” The source added, “It is a great balance between both of their personalities, and it works.”
The engagement chatter follows a string of increasingly intimate public sightings. Just last week, the pair were photographed arriving hand in hand at a private airport terminal before boarding a sleek private jet for a romantic getaway, appearing relaxed, giddy, and completely in sync.
Their bond reportedly goes far beyond red carpets and vacations. Chalamet is said to be living with Jenner in Los Angeles and has become actively involved in the lives of her two children, Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, whom she shares with Travis Scott. A Page Six source claimed the couple have been cohabiting for over a year and behave “like they’re basically married already.” The insider added, “They’re obsessed with each other and always together.”
Kylie’s famously tight-knit family has also begun pulling back the curtain on the relationship. Kim and Khloé Kardashian recently shared rare insight into the romance, including the affectionate nickname they use for Chalamet.
On a recent episode of Khloé in Wonder Land, Kim recounted hosting an intimate family dinner in Malibu attended by Kylie and her Oscar-nominated boyfriend. She said the couple “had the best time,” describing the gathering as unusually easygoing and joyful.
Khloé admitted the night stood out for her personally, saying, “I wasn’t there for like 10 minutes and left, I was so proud of myself for staying because I’m normally the one to be the first to dip.”
Kim echoed the sentiment, noting Kylie’s unexpected stamina. “I was so proud Kylie came. She stayed til 1:30 in the morning, she was the first one there and the last to leave which is insane,” she said.
Khloé added that Kylie and “Timmy” barely left each other’s side all evening. “I was so proud of her and her and Timmy they had the best time,” she said, to which Kim agreed, “The best time.”
Though Khloé later joked the night left her feeling “exhausted” and “beat,” she made it clear the experience was worth it.
The family revelations came shortly after Jenner and Chalamet were spotted on a romantic escape to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, following the actor’s historic Oscar nomination. The notoriously private couple appeared deeply affectionate as they relaxed at a secluded waterfront property, later boarding a luxury boat and casually mingling with other guests.
The Cabo trip reportedly followed a rare public date night at celebrity favorite Flora Farms, where an eyewitness said the pair were completely absorbed in one another. While public displays of affection were minimal, the source described Chalamet as visibly “smitten.”
The getaway capped off a highly visible awards season for Chalamet, during which he made several public acknowledgments of Jenner. At the Golden Globes, he referred to her as his “partner” during his acceptance speech, telling the audience, “To my parents and partner, I love you.”
Weeks later, he doubled down while accepting Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards, saying, “And lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you.”
Jenner was later seen mouthing, “I love you too,” before the couple shared a kiss.
These affectionate moments marked a sharp contrast to reports from late last year suggesting the relationship had cooled. In November, a source described the romance as being in a “cool-down cycle,” saying, “They cool down and they heat up.”
Despite the growing spotlight, Jenner and Chalamet continue to fiercely protect their privacy. Neither frequently posts about the relationship, and both have emphasized the importance of keeping their romance largely out of public view.
The couple were first linked in April 2023 and went public later that year after being spotted kissing at a Beyoncé concert. Though they’ve attended high-profile events together, they’ve largely avoided discussing their relationship on The Kardashians and rarely mention each other in interviews.
While past claims suggested the secrecy was driven by Chalamet’s desire to preserve his image as a serious actor, recent months hint that the couple may be growing increasingly comfortable letting the world see just how serious things have become.
