Lahore cops booked for freeing kite-flyers after accepting bribe

Police freed two accused who were on judicial remand after taking Rs20,000 bribe from them in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to details, police arrested two accused, Hasnain Asif and Mohammad Anwar, for kite-flying from the Garhi Shahu area of Lahore.

Later, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sabir produced them in the Court. The court approved their judicial remand and ordered to be sent to jail.

The policeman, Ejaz, instead of sending them to jail, freed them after taking a Rs20,000 as bribe. 

As per the first information report (FIR), when the SHO Garhi Shahu checked the record, he found that both the accused were in their home instead of jail.

The SHO directed to file a first information report (FIR) against policeman Ijaz under Section 155-C against the accused.
