Ten members of a family travelling in a double-cabin vehicle swept away in the swollen rainwater drain in Hassanabdal area of Attock on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, out of 10 members of the family, five were rescued while search for other five missing including four women and a child continued. Later, they found bodies of the four women.
The incident took place near Jhadi Kas area of Hassanabdal tehsil of Attock, where the water level in the drain was very high.
Rescue diving teams were engaged in an operation to rescue the missing persons.
The operation was being supervised by District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain himself.
The victim family belongs to Wah Cantt and they were going to their farmhouse in Bhalarjogi.
