In a tragic incident, two minor children lost their lives due to snakebite in Kotli area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, both the children became unconscious after a snake bit them and were immediately shifted to a hospital but they breathed their last as by then poison has spread in their bodies.
Ages of both the children were between six and eight years, said the police.
A wave of grief and sorrow gripped the area and everybody was sad over the incident.
Residents of the area appealed to Health Department’s relevant officials to take effective measures to curb such kind of incidents in future.
Residents were advised to adopt precautionary measures due to rise in snake-bite incidents during the rainy season.
