A woman gave birth to a baby in a Rescue 1122 ambulance on her way to the hospital in Nankana Sahib on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Rescue 1122 received a call about a pregnant woman. The paramedical staff reached the spot and shifted the pregnant woman in the ambulance, but her condition worsened, and she delivered a baby inside the ambulance while on way to the hospital.
The paramedical staff of Rescue 1122 professionally handled the situation, and the baby was delivered smoothly. The health of the newborn child and the woman is stable.
Later, both the woman and her child were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Nankana Sahib where doctors appreciated the professionalism shown by in-charge of the para-medical staff Mohammad Asif and District Emergency Officer Mohammad Akram Panhwar also lauded their performance and encouraged them.
He also appreciated the timely support of the Rescue 1122 team for professionally saving two precious lives.
