Indian actress Shehnaaz Gill has showered praise on Pakistani dramas and appreciated how their portrayal of romance is unmatched and sets them apart from other television industries.
Speaking to Faridoon Shahryar, Shehnaaz named Hania Aamir, Bilal Abbas Khan and Fahad Mustafa among her favourite Pakistani stars.
She also shared her admiration for the chemistry and storytelling in Pakistani serials and specially highlighted Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu.
Explaining what makes Pakistani dramas special, Shehnaaz said the love stories feel natural because they rely on emotions rather than physical intimacy.
"The romance feels so natural. They don't even need to touch each other to express love. The way Pakistani dramas show affection without physical contact has a different charm altogether. It feels pure," she said.
She included that the emotional restraint and slow burn storytelling make the viewing experience more engaging, concluding, "There is simply no competition for Pakistani dramas."
Shehnaaz Gill rose to nation wide fame after appearing in Bigg Boss 13, where her candid personality and bond with late actor Sidharth Shukla made her one of India's most beloved television personalities.
Since then, she has successfully transitioned into films, making her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan's Kisi aK Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan before appearing in projects such as Thank You for Coming.
Alongside acting, she has continued to release music and host celebrity interviews.
