All government schools in Upper Dir will reopen on August 1, 2026, following the end of the summer vacations, the district education officer said on Thursday.
The provincial government has withdrawn its earlier notification regarding a two-day closure of schools, meaning educational institutions will remain open on Friday and Saturday as usual.
According to the District Education Officer, normal teaching activities will resume in all government schools from August 1 under the regular timetable.
Instructions have been issued to ensure the attendance of all teaching and non-teaching staff. Headmasters and principals have also been directed to complete all necessary arrangements before classes resume.
The DEO Male Upper Dir advised school staff and the public not to rely on unofficial WhatsApp groups for information and to follow only formal notifications issued by the education authorities.
Classes in all educational institutions will resume according to the usual schedule, the official added.
