One more girl, Jannat, aged 4, breathed her last in the local hospital where she was admitted after eating toxic fast food [burgers], and the death toll reached two in Gujranwala, 24NewsHD reported on Monday.
According to the details, the children of a policeman, Naveed, brought fast food from a fast food outlet in Gujranwala. After eating the food, their condition deteriorated.
Three children were still under treatment in the hospital. The Director-General of the Gujranwala Food Authority, Asim Javed, took notice of the incident and directed the relevant team to visit the spot immediately. The samples of food were sent for forensic examination.
The spokesman said that any negligence in this regard will be dealt with an iron hand. He said strict action will be taken against those who will be found involved in this heinous crime.
