Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that merit and transparency in educational institutions are his topmost priority, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
He expressed these views while presiding over the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting of Aitchison College Lahore and Lawrence College Ghora Gali.
Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat and other members also attended the meeting. Governor of Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the elimination of the culture of favouritism should end.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that we have to implement the merit system in letter and spirit.
