Five notorious accused were shot dead during three police encounters in Shahdara, Lower Mall, and Batapur in Lahore, 4NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
In the first police encounter in Lower Mall, one accused, namely Faryad, died, and in the second police encounter, another accused, namely Saleem, breathed his last.
Earlier, two accused lost their lives during a police encounter in Lahore.
According to the details, a Crime Control Department (CCD) Inspector Iqbal was conducting a search operation in the Batapur area of Lahore, during which he signalled two accused who were riding a motorcycle to stop.
Instead of stopping their motorcycle, the accused started indiscriminate firing on the police party.
During heavy exchange of firing from both sides, two accused who were later identified as Hammad and Asif died on the spot.
Both accused were residents of Okara and Sheikhupura. There was no criminal record against the accused.
The police team immediately shifted the dead bodies of the accused to the local hospital’s mortuary.
