Pakistani television host and media personality Iqrar Ul Hassan has sparked widespread discussion after candidly sharing his views on second marriages, despite being in multiple marriages himself. Speaking openly during a recent podcast appearance, the veteran anchor advised men against entering another marriage, citing the emotional realities of Pakistani society.
Appearing on the latest episode of ‘Suno To Sahi’, hosted by Hina Niazi, Iqrar was asked about his stance on marriage and whether he believes men should marry more than once.
Responding without hesitation, he said, "In our country, a second marriage should not be done."
Surprised by the remark, the host asked why he had chosen to marry again himself. Iqrar explained that life unfolds in different phases and circumstances, adding that he considers himself fortunate.
"Life goes through different phases and circumstances. In this matter, I have been very lucky. Allah has blessed me with what I believe are the finest women. All three of my marriages were based on mutual choice, and all three are wonderful. Not everyone is blessed in this way."
Hina Niazi then urged him to clearly advise viewers whether they should consider a second marriage.
Reiterating his position, Iqrar replied:
"No, they shouldn't. I've said this a thousand times before. If someone else's face turns red, you don't slap yourself to make your own face red as well. To my brothers and sisters watching, our society is such that women often feel insecure about their husbands. Since most women do not easily accept a second marriage, you will end up making your own life miserable as well as someone else's."

He concluded by addressing frequent public comments about his personal life, saying that people often question him for having three marriages, but he believes the circumstances were part of Allah's plan and not something he deliberately pursued.
