Consumers are set to receive significant relief at the start of the new financial year as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a sharp reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for July.
According to a notification issued by OGRA, the price of LPG has been reduced by Rs67.33 per kilogram, bringing the new price down to Rs241.43 per kg.
The regulator also reduced the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder by Rs794.50, fixing its new price at Rs2,848.91.
The notification stated that the revised LPG prices will remain effective throughout the month of July.
The substantial reduction in LPG prices is expected to provide relief to domestic consumers who rely on the fuel for household cooking and heating, particularly in areas where natural gas is unavailable.
