The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saturday voiced strong opposition to the appointment of retired Justice Tasadeq Hussain Jilani as the head of a newly proposed commission formed to look into the serious allegations levelled by the IHC judges against the intelligence agencies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PTI chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan rejected the formation of a commission led by retired judges.

The party has instead called for the establishment of a commission akin to the Memogate and Election Inquiry Commission, both of which were previously headed by the then Chief Justice Nasir Mulk.

The PTI chairman underscored the demand for a body composed exclusively of serving judges to ensure the commission's effectiveness and integrity.
