Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday announced construction of a new medical college in Layyah. She said that Pakistan is our red line and now anyone can judge difference between May 9 and May 10 and 28, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Maryam was addressing a gathering at Layyah Sports Stadium. Maryam Nawaz distributed 1,645 laptops among students from Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah and Rajanpur.
As many as 586 laptops were distributed among students of government universities in DG Khan, 199 among medical students and 860 among college students.
On her arrival at Layyah Sports Stadium, Punjab Chief Minister was warmly received by the officials of local administration.
On this occasion Chief Minister invited Deputy Commissioner Layyah Amir Bedar on the stage and appreciated his outstanding performance.
Maryam Nawaz herself distributed laptops and cheques of Honhaar Scholarship Program among the students.
Students sing national songs and clapped in honor of the chief minister. Maryam Nawaz also hugged the students and made selfies with them.
A student of University of Layyah Hina Mehmood paid glowing tributes to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
On this occasion students presented cultural shawl to Maryam Nawaz. A girl student drew on a pencil portrait of Maryam Nawaz “Punjab Di Pag, Punjab di dhee rani day sang”.
Student Music Society Layyah and DG Khan presented national song “Aye Meray Naujawan, Tum Hi Bunyan Marsoos”.
Maryam Nawaz also distributed gifts among students who recited Holy Quran and Na’at Rasool (peace be upon him)
After the ceremony, Punjab Chief Minister held detailed discussion with local MPS and ticket-holders of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).
