A man and a woman died on the spot when gunmen opened fire on them in Jacobabad, in what police described as an apparent case of honour killing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Local police said the incident took place in Goth Shehzado Lashari in the jurisdiction of Mohammadpur Police Station.
The deceased were identified as Pyar Ali and Shabiran Lashari.
Soon after receiving the report of the double murder, police reached the site and shifted the dead bodies to Taluka Hospital for completion of necessary proceedings.
All the accused escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
Police said that they cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
