A seemingly innocent throwback has turned into a social media firestorm for Kim Kardashian.
Taking to Instagram, the 44-year-old reality star and entrepreneur shared a throwback photo from 1993, showing her teenage self-smiling sweetly while holding a nail brush.
But instead of just nostalgia, the photo reignited long-standing rumours and criticism surrounding her alleged cosmetic procedures.
Captioned simply “1993 ???? Linds,” a nod to her late childhood friend Lindsay May who passed away earlier this year, the photo drew a flurry of reactions – some admiring, others less so.
While many fans praised young Kim’s “natural beauty,” others couldn’t help but compare her former look to her current one, claiming it highlights just how much her face has changed over the years.
“Wow… I never realized how much work you've had done,” one follower commented.
“Much prettier in her natural face,” another added.
“Kim jacked up her face big time,” wrote a critic. “She was naturally pretty… now the whole family is unrecognisable.”
This isn’t the first time Kim has faced scrutiny over her evolving appearance. In December 2024, a similar throwback post from the ‘90s drew comparable feedback, with fans saying she didn’t need to change anything.
Though the Kardashian-Jenner clan has occasionally acknowledged a few tweaks, including Botox, nose jobs, and breast augmentations, much of their transformation remains shrouded in speculation.
Most recently, Kim’s mother Kris Jenner confirmed undergoing aesthetic enhancements, fueling further chatter about the family’s obsession with staying youthful.
Kim herself has remained mostly tight-lipped, though she once told Allure in 2022: “I really, genuinely care about looking good.”
