Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a four-day official holiday for Eid-ul-Azha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the Eid holidays will be from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9.

The extended break is expected to facilitate citizens in celebrating the religious festival with their families and loved ones.

Sources revealed that the Cabinet Division is expected to issue an official notification shortly to formally announce the holidays.

In light of the announcement, all government and private offices, educational institutions and banks across the country will remain closed during this period.

While the closure of educational institutions is part of the Eid holiday announcement, it is important to note that most schools and colleges are already closed for summer vacation.

Eid-ul-Azha, one of the two major Islamic festivals, is celebrated with special congregational prayers and the ritual animal sacrifice.

The holidays will provide ample time for faithful to take part in religious rituals, including the traditional animal sacrifice, prayers, and community gatherings.
