A petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court, Larkana Bench, seeking the inclusion of influential individuals in the case related to the alleged burning of 121 houses in Muhammad Siddique Arain Town, Mirpur Buriro area of Jacobabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.
According to details, petitioner Ghulam Shabbir Buriro has requested the court to include the names of Sardar Saddam Hussain Buriro and Sardar Ahmed Ali Channa in the FIR, alleging their involvement in the incident.
The petitioner has maintained that the attack was a retaliatory collective act, allegedly carried out in response to a dispute arising from the free-will marriage between Muhammad Hassan Buriro and Sidra Channa.
He further contended that there is a lack of confidence in the police investigation and demanded that the current probe be withdrawn and a judicial inquiry be initiated into the incident.
The petition also alleges that influential figures were involved in the alleged arson attack and insists that their names be formally added to the case.
The matter is expected to be taken up by the Sindh High Court next week for hearing.
The incident involving the burning of 121 houses had previously drawn significant local attention due to its scale and the sensitive nature of the underlying dispute.
