A man was killed and his wife Hanifan was critically injured when unidentified attackers stabbed the couple with a knife when they were sleeping in their home in Nowshera Virkan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The man identified as Abdul Shakoor son of Gulzar and his wife Hanifan were at their home at Titlay Aali located on Nowshera Road near Nowshera Virkan Exchange when the attackers barged into their house and stabbed them.
Soon after receiving the report, Rescue 1122 teams reached the crime scene and shifted the dead body and the injured woman to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ).
Local police after registering a case of murder started investigation.
