There was no meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) scheduled in Dubai for today as the deadlock between Pakistan and India over Champions Trophy persisted on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The next ICC meeting may be held on Sunday or Monday to finalise the issue.
Both Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) have sought more time from the ICC for their respective decisions.
Both cricket boards will consult their respective governments on the Champions Trophy.
Pakistan is scheduled to hole the ICC Champions Trophy early next year while India has refused to tour the host country and instead supporter the hybrid mode for the tournament which the PCB has rejected outrightly.
The first ICC meeting was held in Dubai yesterday but failed to yield any result. There were reported the meeting was deferred for Saturday (today), but no meeting is scheduled for today.
Sources said that there was no change in Pakistan’s stance regarding holding of the entire ICC Champions Trophy matches inside the country.
Now ICC will forward their own acceptable and practicable formula for holding the ICC Champions Trophy matches.
