The government on Sunday announced a reduction in petroleum prices for the upcoming fortnight.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs2 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs263.45. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been cut by Rs4.79 per litre, now fixed at Rs279.65.
The revised rates have taken effect immediately and will remain in place for the next 15 days.
