Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited T-Chowk Flyover, Shaheen Chowk Underpass, and Faizabad Interchange remodelling projects underway in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He reviewed and expressed satisfaction over the progress of work on the three projects.
The Minister directed to complete the projects be completed at the earliest possible time. Mohsin Naqvi said that the passengers coming from the twin cities and Punjab will also benefit from the T-Chowk flyover.
He said the completion of these projects will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce traffic pressure.
He gave instructions to convert Loop One and Loop Two to three lanes to further improve traffic flow at Faizabad Interchange.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa gave a detailed briefing to the Minister about the projects.
He said 80 percent of the work on the T-Chowk flyover is complete, it will be opened for traffic next month.
The Faizabad Interchange Project Poles Foundation has been completed. He said that RCC walls are completed while the asphalt work is in progress.
Members of CDA, the deputy commissioner, the additional deputy commissioner, and other high-ranking officials were also present on the occasion.
