Pakistan’s U17 football team produced a record-breaking performance, dismantling Guam 11-0 in a one-sided Group B encounter of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Dostuk Arena on Sunday.
The emphatic victory was powered by Kaleem Ullah’s hat-trick and Abdul Samad’s four-goal haul, marking Pakistan’s biggest-ever win in any international competition.
Pakistan took their time to settle, breaking the deadlock in the 27th minute when Kaleem volleyed home from close range. Five minutes later, Syed Mehboob doubled the advantage with a precise low drive from the edge of the box.
Just before halftime, Muhammad Abdullah weaved through the midfield to score Pakistan’s third with a composed finish past goalkeeper Micah Tavarez.
Kaleem then struck again in stoppage time to give the Green Shirts a commanding 4-0 lead going into the break.
Kaleem completed his hat-trick early in the second half, before being substituted in the 74th minute with Pakistan cruising at 7-0, helped by goals from Sharaf Khan (67') and Abdul Samad (71').
After Kaleem’s exit, Samad took center stage, netting three goals in stoppage time to complete a sensational late flourish.
Hasnain Ali also joined the scoresheet in the 86th minute as Pakistan piled on the misery for already bottom-placed Guam.
With this thumping win, Pakistan finished second in Group B, collecting nine points from five matches with a healthy goal difference of +10.
Guam ended their campaign bottom of the table with zero points and a goal difference of –42.
