The symbol of terror in Dera Ghazi Khan, Budha Dacoit, was killed by his own accomplices in a police encounter with gang, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police, slain dacoit Aslam alias Budha was wanted in several cases of robbery and terrorism.
DPO DG Khan Tariq Wilayat said police bravely fought with robbers when three armed men attacked the police on Shaurya Bypass.
Arms and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the deceased robber, while his two accomplices escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
The Budha Dacoit had injured the SHO and he was considered a symbol of fear and panic in the area, DPO said.
He said public safety is the top priority and criminal elements cannot escape the law.
