CM Naqvi orders removal of SHO for not registering FIRs

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited different police stations of Lahore late Friday night and ordered removal of the SHO Factory Area Sheikhupura for not registering the FIRs of incidents of cellphones snatching and robberies despite the passage of 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He categorically told the SHOs that no delay in the registration of FIRs would be tolerated. 

The chief minister also reviewed the progress made on people’s complaints.

He went round different departments of these stations such as front desk, muharrar’s room, investigation room.

He also met with the people in the lockup and asked them about the cases registered against them.

During his visit to Shafiqabad police station, one of the prison inmates broke down in tears while narrating his ordeal.

The CM patted on his back and assured him that justice would be done to him and the interest amount would be paid.

CM Naqvi, on the occasion, also ordered a crackdown on the people giving loans to people on interest.

Females present at Shafiqabad police station informed him of the nature of their complaints.

The chief minister ordered the police staff to take action on their complaints.

Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir, inspector general of police (IGP) Punjab and the CCPO accompanied him on the visit.
