Gold prices surged once again, breaking all previous records both in Pakistan and the international market, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, in the domestic bullion market, the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs3,178, reaching a new all-time high of Rs406,778.
The rate for 10 grams of gold of 24 karat also rose significantly, registering a jump of Rs5,058 to settle at Rs346,021.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, gold witnessed a sharp upward trend on Monday, with prices climbing by as much as Rs5,900 in some sessions before stabilizing at record levels.
On the international front, gold prices registered a dramatic increase of $37 per ounce, soaring to $3,855, marking a fresh global peak.
Some estimates placed one tola gold as high as $3,818 in the world market during the latest trading.
The continuous upward momentum in gold prices reflects global economic uncertainties and shifting investor sentiment toward safe-haven assets.
It's pertinent to mention here that the gold prices also registered a record hike in Pakistan as well as in the global market on Monday.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the one tola gold price in Pakistan registered a Rs5900 jump and settled at a record Rs403600.
The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs5,058, now selling at a record level of Rs346,021. In the global market, one tola of gold jumped $59 and reached a record $3818.
Jewellers and traders noted that this surge has placed additional pressure on local buyers while simultaneously boosting investments in precious metals.
