The Federal Bureau of Revenue achieved its August tax collection target, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) was given a tax collection target of Rs483 billion and it succeeded in achieving six billion more than the set goal.
The FBR collected a total of Rs526 billion and returned around Rs37 billion as tax refunds. The authority collected around Rs948 billion in tax in only two months of the financial year.
