In a shocking incident, the body of former SSP Abdul Samad Soomro was recovered from the Peer Bukhari area of Mirpur Mathelo, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the family, the retired police officer had been missing since yesterday, and his mobile phone had remained switched off since then.
Relatives stated that Abdul Samad Soomro had travelled from the nearby town of Dad Laghari to Mirpur Mathelo before he went missing.
Police and local authorities have begun investigations to determine the cause of death, while the tragic discovery has left the community in shock.
