Two people, including an eight-year-old girl, lost their lives in separate electrocution incidents in Faisalabad on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
In the first incident, a young man named Hasnain, who worked at a garment shop in Mandi Bachiana, was tasked with clearing rainwater that had accumulated on the shop’s roof.
While attempting to drain the water, his hand accidentally touched an exposed electric wire, resulting in a fatal electric shock.
He died on the spot.
In another tragic case, eight-year-old Fabiha, a resident of Alfiaz Colony, was playing outside her home in the street when she accidentally touched a water pump.
The pump carried an electric current, and the child was electrocuted instantly.
Police officials reached both sites, completed the necessary formalities, and later handed over the bodies to the families.
