Railways officials said that the up and down railway track was blocked due to the train derailment.
The officials further stated that no loss of life was reported from the site of the incident. A rescue team from Rawalpindi was immediately rushed to the site and started operation to restore the tracks.
At 11:00 am, the railway track was completely restored, and the train departed for its destination.
Earlier on August 29, 2026, four bogies of a Rawalpindi-bound railcar “Subuk Raftar” were derailed at Do Mooria Pul in Lahore.
Police said the train derailed soon after it departed from Lahore for Rawalpindi. No loss of life was reported at the site of the incident. The passengers were stranded in the bogies due to the summer heat and suffocation.
